Girlfight... what, ok, and so forth

New Singles Going Steady. Somehow I’m the high voter on A Perfect Circle. My sworn enemy Akiva Gottlieb gives Lifehouse a higher rating than Tweet or Brooke Valentine.

On Club Lonely I have posted Yellow Magic Orchestra alum Yukihiro Takahashi with his Japanese new wave classic “Murdered By the Music.”

You think this T.I. song is not so good, but you don't know

Another week of Singles Going Steady and the real highlight here is "You Don't Know Me," the new track by T.I.. It might not be quite as good as "Rubberband Man" or "Bring 'Em Out," but it's up there.
The beat is great. The hollow, tinny sonar ticks form the core and those low harbor foghorn blurts rest on top of that. There’s plenty of other little details; it's great how little they use the actual drum because they only need it in a few places as the verses come to a head.
Each line of the chorus begins with different words and ends with "but you don’t know" which is a pretty clever way to make it catchy as hell. Some of the verses are great too (rough approximation):

"You going to make me bring the Chevy to a real slow creep /
My niggas hanging out the window mouth full of gold teeth /
When the guns start popping you wonder when it gon cease /
[something] hit you in the side and create a slow leak"

I had a dream last night in which I was giving one of the producers of “Crunk Juice” advice about which tracks should have been cut from the album so I think I know what I’m talking about.

P.S. Check out our new MP3 blog Club Lonely. DJ Screw, LCD Soundsystem, Stevie Nicks!
